What is this about?

Like so many, I have a passion for our mountains. The Colorado Mountain Club has been working since 1912 in conservation, education and recreation opportunities with Colorado residents. They have worked with thousands of people over the years to create a safe and fun backcountry experience. My mom has been pushing me to join the club since I was a teenager, and I have finally decided to help give back to an institution that has given me and my community so much directly and indirectly. I have hiked the Colorado Trail twice, the Pacific Crest Trail, and my passion for the hills only deepens as time flows.

On October 31st, Samhain, I will be completing a marathon length hike/race in an effort to raise money for the Colorado Mountain Club. I am asking that donors donate an amount per mile (around 26 miles) they believe to be sufficient. How much is a mile worth to you? A quarter, 50 cents, $1? Every bit will give me extra motivation to finish a little faster (or at all...).

Yes, I will be in costume... Let's just say there will be one more mysterious creature roaming the Colorado Mountains this Samhain. Thanks everyone!
