Hi! My name is Olivia Taylor. I am a freshman elementary education major from Chicago, Illinois, and I am starting this fall as a College Mentor for College Mentors for Kids (CMFK) for the Illinois State University Chapter!
College Mentors for Kids is an enriching nonprofit organization that connects kids to college students through weekly on-campus activities that inspire growth, confidence, and brighter futures.
I personally enjoy service work and volunteering as it aligns with my personal values. So much so, I plan on minoring in civic engagement next semester! Additionally, I believe CMFK will provide me with experiences that I can use in my future career as an educator.
Living up to being a nonprofit organization, CMFK is a 100% free after-school program for students and families. Therefore, fundraising and donations are a great source of funding for the program. My minimum individual fundraising goal for the semester is $200.
I can't do all of this without your help, though. Please consider making a gift donation to help me meet my fundraising goal! Your contribution will help us continue this program on our campus and spread the power of mentoring.
