At the Purdue University chapter of College Mentors for Kids, we have a big goal. We believe that mentoring transforms lives. That is why we connect kids with college students through weekly on-campus activities that inspire growth, confidence, and brighter futures. Our innovative 501(c)3 organization pairs children one-on-one with a mentor and engages them in activities where they discover the joy of learning and the power of mentoring. These kids, or little buddies, are from local schools and together, with their mentors, they participate in structured group activities that focus on higher education and careers, culture and diversity, and community service.
We currently serve 260 little buddies from Glen Acres Elementary, Sunnyside Intermediate, Earhart Elementary, Vinton Elementary, Mayflower Mill Elementary, and Klondike Intermediate schools.
