Hello, my name is Colin Honeman! I am a Junior studying biology. This is my third year doing college mentors and I have loved every minute of it!

College Mentors for Kids connects kids to college students through weekly on-campus activities where the college students get to be a mentor to the kids. In my first year of college mentors, I served as a mentor to a third grader. Every week was filled with excitement where both my little buddy and I got to grow. Since then, I have transitioned to helping other mentors and kids connect, by facilitating activities and maintaining safety. 

I enjoy volunteering because I get to spend time with the little buddies each week and participate in fun activities with other mentors and buddies. I also get to provide the buddy pairs with information about careers, culture, diversity, and community service. This program helps me to give back to my community, and I'm learning important leadership skills in the meantime.
