Did you know that mentoring can truly change lives?

Research shows that kids with mentors see themselves and their futures more positively than those without one. They gain confidence, set bigger goals, and go on to achieve more in school, in their careers, and in their communities.

Growing up isn’t easy, but having a mentor makes it a little easier, which is why I chose to volunteer with College Mentors for Kids.

College Mentors for Kids connects college students with local kids through weekly on-campus activities that inspire growth, confidence, and brighter futures. Each week, I get to spend time with my little buddy, exploring new ideas, learning about careers, culture, and community service, all while having fun along the way. Not only do I get to help my buddy grow, but I’ve learned so much about myself through this experience too. This program has given me the chance to give back to my community while developing leadership skills that I’ll carry with me for life.
