I have been apart of UVA's College Mentors for Kids program since the beginning of my first year here and it has been my absolutely favorite thing to be involved in! I love getting to break out of the UVA craziness for a couple of hours each week and hang out with our little buddies and gain some much needed perspective. I started out as a General Manager and was lucky to lead the best buddy family ever - Kind Flower Fam! All of the girls in my family were so sweet and also amazing artists. This year, I am the Vice President of Programming and oversee all of the logistics for our Wednesday activity days with our brand new school partner, Jackson Via Elementary. Our kids this year are absolutely amazing and our mentors have been doing an awesome job with them. Your donation truly means so much to our program and will go towards transportation costs (lifting a huge burden off of parents and making the program accessible to so many more kids), snacks each week for the buddies, and fun field trips like the UVA basketball and football stadiums.
