Community Link Buddy Walk 2024

Join Community Link as we celebrate all of the All Stars in our life with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities. Our 18th Annual Buddy Walk is at Northside Park in Breese, Il on September 14, 2024. Whether you have Down syndrome, know someone who does, or want to show your support of any person with developmental disabilities, take the first step and donate or register today. 97.5% of money raised stays in our community. The National Down Syndrome Society receives 2.5% for advocacy and public awareness initiatives that benefit all individuals with Down syndrome. Help us spread the word! All are welcome for our day of celebration.

To participate in this event, select the "REGISTER" button and choose either "Team Captain with a T-Shirt" to start a team, OR "Registration with T-Shirt" to join a team or walk without a team.

If you are registering multiple individuals at once, click the white "Add a Participant" button after adding your details.

Returning Team Captains please note: this year, you will have to re-enter your team name and team members. Please select "Start or Join a Team" when registering.

If you cannot attend this event but would like to make a donation to Community Link, please select the DONATE button. You can also donate to a team by choosing the blue "Change Recipient" button on the donation page, and selecting your team.

Registration fees:

Walk Participant - $20 from July 5th - September 10th, and at the event on September 14th (includes t-shirt to be picked up in advance or day of event)

You must register by August 23rd to be guaranteed a shirt.

This year, our participants are planning an exciting start to the festivities at 10am, so plan to arrive early. Following the opening ceremony, we will fill the streets of Breese at 11am for a 1-mile fun walk together. After the walk, we will enjoy some time together with family and friends. Activities include games and crafts, lunch available for purchase from The Red Porch Café and other vendors, and the Best Buddy Dog Show.
