Why Donate?
Many of our riders never believed equestrian sports in college was a reality for them until they joined the Metropolitan Equestrian Team. Through our college advising services and events like the annual College Preparatory Invitational (CPI) Horse Show, students are introduced to representatives from colleges and universities through this education and competition experience. It is a misconception that equestrian athletes come from significant financial means, so we change the conversation from “If I'm going to College” to “Where am I going to College?” As a result, students who have attended this competition have received over $1,600,000 in college scholarship opportunities.
Your generous donation to MET's 2022 CPI Campaign helps send interested and eligible MET riders to the CPI to represent the MET team in competition and learn about the educational, athletic, and community opportunities that await them in college. More than an equestrian competition, this unique event connects riders to college and university teams, coaches, and advisors - creating lasting relationships that set up our riders for long-term academic success.
