Many people are touched by long-term illnesses during their lifetimes. In my family, my mother dealt with Parkinson's disease, and my father had myelodysplasia, a bone marrow cancer. During times of hospitalization and out-patient therapy/care, one of the most life-affirming and healing activities someone can do is to be engaged in creative activity.
