I have wanted to become more involved in arts in health initiatives for several years, and shortly after moving to San Antonio, I met Constanza Roeder and learned about Hearts Need Art. I've been a volunteer for two years now, providing bedside music, corridor concerts, and music in the outpatient clinic at Methodist Hospital, as well as virtual programming including the recent Gratitude Grams initiative. I have seen first-hand the power of music to positively affect the wellbeing of patients and healthcare workers, and I believe deeply in the power of this work. Hearts Need Art is an amazing organization, and I'm proud to now be a board member! Please join me in making more of these opportunities available to others!
