Cancer sucks, no one should go through such an experience. Those that do and survive come out a lot stronger and have a better perspective in life. I know the type of impact it leaves on the patients, I have witnessed it myself. I would volunteer every week for about 2-3 hours and play live music for the patients. Not only did the patients love it, the nurses would enjoy it too. You can see the difference in the whole oncology floor, from the nurses, family members, and patients. It really is a beautiful thing to help others express themselves through the arts. Everyone's heart can use art, life can be so much better.
