Help Create Safer, Brighter Futures
Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and hopeful about their future.
For more than 50 years, Crisis House has helped people in East San Diego County move from crisis toward safety and stability.
Crisis House provides safe housing for women and children escaping domestic violence, mentorship and healing opportunities through Camp HOPE, and mobile outreach for people experiencing homelessness. Its programs connect individuals and families with the resources, support, and encouragement they need to rebuild their lives.
Domestic violence is a leading cause of homelessness among women and its impact on children can last for years. When children receive support early, they have a stronger chance to heal and thrive.
Where Your Donation Goes
Your donation helps Crisis House respond to immediate needs with practical support that helps people move forward. Here’s what different gifts could help provide:
- $20 — One week of transportation for work, appointments, or essential services
- $25 — Hygiene essentials that restore comfort and dignity
- $35 — Groceries and meals for an individual or family
- $45 — Clothing for a fresh start at work, school, interviews, or everyday life
- $50 — Application fees or ID documents needed to pursue housing or employment
These examples help show the real-world impact of your gift, while allowing Crisis House to direct donations toward the most urgent needs.
Much of Crisis House’s government funding comes with restrictions on who and what it can support. Private donations help Crisis House respond quickly to urgent needs, such as emergency housing, transportation, food, or support for families facing documentation or eligibility barriers.
