Homelessness is closer than most of us think. San Diego consistently ranks among the U.S. regions with the most people experiencing homelessness, and in a single recent year more than 4,000 people here became homeless for the very first time. For many, it starts with one lost job, one unsafe home, or one bill they couldn’t cover.
Crisis House helps people take the next step out of crisis, and small gifts go a long way:
$20 – a week of transportation to work and appointments
$25 – hygiene essentials that restore dignity
$35 – groceries and meals for a family
$45 – clothing for interviews, work, or school
$50 – rental application fees or ID documents needed for housing and jobs
$250 - all essentials items such as food, hygiene, clothing, and other basic needs
Any amount helps, and so does sharing this page. Thank you for helping a neighbor get back on their feet.
