Food insecurity in Northwest Indiana remains at intolerably high levels, particularly for families with children. Feeding America estimates that 18.8% of families in Lake County face food insecurity this holiday season: that's roughly 100,000 people including around 22,000 children: Once again this year Crown Point High School's National Honor Society is holding a Food and Fund Drive to support the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana.
