Many of you know a bit of my story this past year. But the utterly uncanny part is that both Josie and I were diagnosed with cancer on the very same day last July. How the universe works and what is it about this connection that we share. She had surgery and she is her wonderful Josie Joy self. My journey continues supported by our wonderful community of friends and that includes the board of Central Vermont Humane Society of which I am a proud member. My days are brighter with Josie by my side on misty morning walks or watching fireflies in the fields late at night. My motto is what's good for the person is good for the animal.
And so I very much hope you will support our Central Vermont Humane Society and the thirtieth Walk for the Animals. The shelter is such a valuable part of our community and they truly rallied to do a stellar job managing through Covid.
Come join us at the State House Lawn on June 11th. This event is always pure joy.
