It's the most wonderful time of year, fam - Charity Week! I am teaming up with volunteers all around the world as we unite to support orphans and children in need across the globe.
This year, we’re inspired by the theme of healthcare and I’m taking on our challenge of taking 10,000 steps a day across not one, not two but a whopping three continents! From the valleys of Cappadocia to the historic, hilly streets of Istanbul, to the serene city of Sarajevo, I've committed to 10,000 steps every day for this year's challenge no matter where I find myself in the world.
I invite you to take a step toward helping to transform the lives of vulnerable children around the world by helping me reach my goal in making a small donation.
“The Beloved Messenger (pbuh) said: ‘I and the one who looks after an orphan will be like this in Paradise,’ showing his middle and index fingers and separating them.” (Bukhari)
Did you know 1 in 5 children worldwide live in extreme poverty, and for many of these children simple necessities and rights are out of reach? Instead, their life is incredibly challenging, with the risk of illiteracy, disease, child labor, lifelong poverty, and even death.
Living in refugee camps, traumatized by war, or simply unable to go to school in their local community due to crippling poverty, these children lack the means to keep safe at home, access critical education and medical and/or psychosocial care. Every journey begins with a single step – let’s take a step together toward changing this reality.
