Do I have to ride the full 70 miles?
No! This ride is about participation, community, and impact. Riders are encouraged to choose the distance that feels right for them. Last year, Ricki, one of the people supported by SHS, joined the ride for the first time and completed the entire bike path portion alongside his DSP, Felito. Just let us know where you plan to join or how long you'd like to ride, and we will support your participation!
What if I can’t attend in person?
You can still participate through our virtual Bike Challenge. Ride from your home, gym, or favorite studio throughout September and fundraise in support of the Kitchen Programming at New Hope Community SHS Division. Consider asking friends and family to sponsor your mileage.
Where do the funds raised go?
Funds raised support New Hope Community SHS Division and will help transform an outdated kitchen into a functional Teaching Kitchen where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities can build real-life skills, explore creativity, and grow their independence. Is this a competitive cycling event?
No. The CycleAbility Challenge is a community ride built around connection, inclusion, and impact. Whether you are an experienced cyclist or simply riding for a cause you care about, everyone is welcome.
