From July 7 through 15 I am lucky enough to be able to go to Harlan Kentucky, along with 88 other volunteers. On this mission trip we will be serving many ministries. Personally, I will be serving by participating in the Vacation Bible School. My brothers and sisters in Christ will serve through Manual Labor, an Outreach Program and Senior Ministry. I am so beyond grateful that I am physically going to be able to carry out God’s will. If it would be possible, I ask that you would please support me through finical donations and prayers. Prayer and donations are so important to help this community. 

At CYFM I have been on DDA 248 and 252 . During these experiences, something that was said really stuck with me. DDA 248 was a life changing experience. While I was listening, the teen presenter, she said “You don’t need to be an island” This simple phrase really gets me thinking about a lot of things. Think about the relationship between an island and the surrounding area. They both need each other, just how the people of Harlan help us and we help them. A Christian is a person in whom and through Christ lives.
