I am very excited to be participating in the Young Heroes Car Parade on Sept. 26, 2021 to raise funds for the Nemours Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (NCCBD) at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. Sadly, cancer and blood disorders touches so many children’s lives.
These little heroes endure grueling treatments and many days in the hospital. They must miss many of childhood's little joys like playing on the swings, watching movies on the couch with their siblings, and even spending the holidays in the comfort of their own home. My hope is that we will find cures and better treatments so they can live long and healthy lives. I believe every child deserves the chance of a healthy future.
