When someone you love has cancer, the need to find a cure truly takes on a whole new meaning. 

My nephew, Benny, was diagnosed with b-cell lymphoblastic leukemia in November 2019 and is still undergoing treatment. This kid has been through more in his 4 years on earth so far than what many adults have been through in their entire lifetime, and yet he lives his life with such joy and is always “all smiles.” No child should have to face a battle with cancer, and no matter the prognosis, the journey to “cancer free”  is never easy. We are thankful though—Benny has been in wonderful hands at Nemours, thanks to the incredible team of doctors, nurses and staff who have been there with him and our family since day 1 of this fight. At Nemours, the mission to provide the best care and to discover advances in treatment and ultimately a cure, is all made possible by donor support.
