In the United States, amidst the joy of every 15th birth, comes a baby facing a mighty hurdle: congenital heart disease (CHD). As the most common birth defect, CHD affects countless lives as it did our own, Gilly, 11 years ago.  But the Congenital Heart Walk stands tall, ready to make a difference.

Team Gilly's Heart mission is crystal clear. We will raise funds for The Children's Heart Foundation, spearheading the fight against CHD for all children. Through groundbreaking research, they aim to diagnose, treat, and ultimately prevent these defects, so children like Gilly have a fighting chance at life.

Did you know that congenital heart disease is not limited to any one nationality or socioeconomic class? Bronny James, the son of basketball legend LeBron James was recently diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. Doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles were credited for the quick attention he received at the university when the medical emergency unfolded. Many others have been affected by a CHD and some are still undiagnosed.
