For many years, I have run the Dead Sea Marathon, but this year the run carries a deeper purpose. I am running in honor of Debbie King, the quiet force and unwavering power behind Boots For Israel.

Less than 48 hours after October 7th, while the world was still grappling with the shock, Debbie recognized an urgent need. Our soldiers heading into Gaza lacked proper equipment, especially strong, waterproof boots. Without hesitation, she took action, and Boots For Israel was born, helping ensure our soldiers could stand strong from the ground up.

Though meant to be retired, Debbie works tirelessly, overseeing every aspect of this mission from packing and shipping to fundraising and delivery. Modest and behind the scenes, she rarely receives recognition for the extraordinary chessed she performs day after day. She is a powerful role model of quiet leadership and devotion to Am Yisrael.

I am fundraising in Debbie’s honor, and the greatest way to give back is by helping keep Boots For Israel funded so they can continue supporting our soldiers. Debbie King, thank you for everything you have done. We love you, and may you live to 120 years in health, happiness, and strength.
