Carston's story begins at 35 weeks gestation when my daughter went in for a routine ultrasound. During this ultrasound they found something that didn't look right with his heart. At 36 weeks gestation she was sent over to a Maternal Fetal Specialist who could not pin point exactly what was going on. Luckily, that same day they were able to be seen by a Pediatric Cardioligst who was able to pin point what was going on. After being hospitalized due to his condition at the time they were then sent over to U of M to deliver Carston. 

He was born by a phenomenal team of doctors that diagnosed him with pulmonary stenosis. At just 2 days old he had his first ballon valvuloplasty to correct his condition. He was hospitalized for about a week following this procedure. At 4 months old we found out his procedure needed to be repeated. 

Today Carston is a happy and thriving 3 year old. He's the sweetest and strongest boy. He's been through more than most in his short life. We're so very proud of how he's handle everything he's been through. 

He's the reason we're here and trying to help raise money for such an important foundation that helps to aid in research for conditions like my grandson's and many others. If you've taken the time to read this we greatly appreciate it!! Your support means so much.
