The NAPW Foundation was established by NAPW President Star Jones as a non-profit philanthropic initiative. Our mission was designed to make a difference in the lives of women and girls through service, sisterhood and self-help. NAPW Local Chapters pay it forward by raising awareness of issues and causes impacting communities and the world. Through monthly Local Chapter networking initiatives, events and activities, NAPW members bring encouragement and support to its philanthropic partners, including Dress for Success.
Founded in New York City in 1997, Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization promoting the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Dress for Success has expanded to more than 125 affiliates operating in 15 countries.
