As I turn 14, I've been thinking a lot about what truly matters to me. And at the top of that list is my beloved twin sister, Sophia.
She means the world to me. But she faces daily challenges because of a genetic mutation called SCN2A, which is the primary cause of her autism and learning disabilities. Witnessing her struggles has inspired me to take action.
For my birthday this year, I've made a heartfelt decision. Instead of accepting gifts, I'm starting a fundraiser to support SCN2A research and find a cure for my sister and others like her. I believe that every small step we take can make a big difference.
