Matthew loves to run. His brother Jonathan is helping make that love of running continue for Matthew by training together and being Matthew's guide for the upcoming Doug Flutie runDisney 10k for Autism this January 2026.
Running has always helped Matthew regulate his body and is very calming to him. Matthew, Jonathan, Kelly, and Lilly all love everything Disney. Sharing Disney movies with Matthew has been the biggest way for them to connect with each other.
Over the past couple of years, Matthew has been so excited to prepare and run together with Jonathan and Kelly in the runDisney Doug Flutie for Autism events. Matthew loves practicing, and especially loves racing through Disneyland, his favorite place to be! Through these experiences, they all bond together in greater ways than imagined. Both Jonathan and Kelly have become Matthew's personal attendants in all aspects of his life, taking on more and more responsibilities with their brother, which has been a great blessing to our family.
Matthew is very excited and working hard to be able to participate in this event again this year!

The Flutie Foundation's missionis "to help people and families afffected by autism live life to the fullest". Their vision is for "a world where people with autism lead productive lives, where they are included, respected, and actively engaged in their communities".
