I’m participating in DogFest DFW because of my deep and unwavering love for animals and my passion for helping them. I’ve always been driven to make a difference in the lives of animals, and DogFest’s mission to provide service dogs to those in need resonates with me on a personal level. My connection to service dogs became even more profound when my father, who battled cancer, was cared for by his own service dog, Sonny. After my father passed, I inherited Sonny, and he has since become the highlight of my life. Supporting DogFest feels like a way to honor my father’s legacy and continue my journey of giving back to animals and the people who need them most.
I also believe in Canine Companions and their mission to provide expertly trained service dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities FREE of charge.
Leading up to DogFest DFW, I am raising money to support the Canine Companions mission. The impact these dogs have on the lives of people with disabilities is incredible. Help me get to my fundraising goal by donating online so we can get more of these amazing Canine Companions service dogs into the lives of those who need them.
