The Matthews Family Fundraising Page

Ever since I learned about Canine Companions about a decade ago, I've been enamoured by their mission and in awe of their amazing dogs. It was always a joy to work with them when I was in the industry, and I was lucky enough to find a partner who was a recipient of one of their dogs. My husband, Nick, is deaf, and his dog, TJ, alerts him to sounds in the environement that he can't hear. TJ gives me peace of mind when they travel for work: if a fire alarm goes off when his devices are off, TJ will let Nick know so they can evacuate the building safely. Canine Companions also provides dogs to Early Alert Canines, the nonprofit who trained my service dog, Ricki, ensuring that dogs end up in the career that is right for them, even when it's not one of the five careers they train for.

Canine Companions provides expertly trained service dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities FREE of charge.

Leading up to DogFest LA/OC, I am raising money to support the Canine Companions mission. The impact these dogs have on the lives of people with disabilities is incredible. Help me get to my fundraising goal by donating online so we can get more of these amazing Canine Companions service dogs into the lives of those who need them. Every little bit will help me reach my goal. Thank you!
