I will be participating in the 11th Annual DogFest Washington DC at Reston Town Center on October 5th, will you join me? Everyone knows I love dogs and know the joy they bring to our lives each and every day. I also believe in Canine Companions and their mission to provide expertly trained service dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities FREE of charge. These dogs are carefully and expertly breeded for the best qualities to live a life of partnership and service to someone who needs them. Once they reach 8 weeks they are sent to volunteer puppy raisers who welcome them into our homes, provide for them and work to socialize and train them to recognize and be proficient in 35 commands. Once they reach the age of 18 months, they are returned to our Regional Training Center where they are tested for temperament and qualities that will serve them well as Service Dogs. It is at the Professional Training Center where they further develop their skills to be expert service dogs ready to be matched with their future partner. Dogs truly are an amazing gift!

Leading up to 11th Annual DogFest Washington DC, I am raising money to support the Canine Companions mission. The impact these dogs have on the lives of people with disabilities is incredible.
