Blue Mountain Humane Society has been part of my life long before it became part of my job, including when Tracy and I adopted our dog, Willow, as a puppy. She had been found dumped at Washington Park here in Walla Walla. What could have been the end of her story became the beginning of ours because this community believes animals deserve a second chance.
Willow is an epileptic black Lab and Saint Bernard mix who depends on three medications twice a day and 24 hour supervision to stay healthy and safe. Loving her has shown us what commitment truly looks like. It is patience. It is consistency. It is showing up every single day. That same level of commitment is what Blue Mountain Humane Society provides to animals who have nowhere else to go.
