In 2018, we welcomed the sweetest pup Lou into our lives. His journey had not been easy. He had been returned a few times due to behavioral challenges. What he really needed was a home where he could be the one and only pup.

For nearly eight years, Lou filled our lives with joy, lots of love, and countless adventure. This month, we said goodbye to him, and his absence has been deeply felt. Life feels different without our sweet pup.

As we navigate this loss, I have been thinking about how to honor Lou’s life in a way that reflects the love he gave us. The team at Blue Mountain Humane Society played an important role in his story, caring for him before he found his way to our family. Their work creates the conditions for animals like Lou to find the right home and truly thrive. Supporting their mission feels like a meaningful way to carry Lou’s legacy forward and help ensure other animals and families can experience that same connection for years to come.
