I'm donating my birthday (June 23) to send kids to camp!
I remember my amazing memories, friendships, and experiences at Armenian camp every summer. I want to give children in Armenia the same opportunity to enjoy the camp experience.
It is especially important to me that children who have experienced great hardships — like displacement or the loss of a parent during war — get to have this exerience. Camp holds even more significance for them because it is therapeutic and healing. It distracts the mind and decompresses the soul.
During the camp, children form life-long friendships. They learn and develop new skills, sight-see, and participate in a full range of fun and exciting activities. They eat regular and balanced meals and are physically active.
It’s about $275 per child for 16 days of camp. The goal of this project is to send 36 children to camp, but if we raise more, FAR will send even more children!
