We're donating our birthdays to fund physiotherapy programs for kids with special needs!
This year, my colleague Helena and I are donating our birthdays (Sep 22 and 23) in support of an initiative close to our hearts.
Through project #ReadySetGrow, our Ayo! team is working to raise enough to fund one year of physiotherapy and occupational therapy at Emili Aregak Center for more than 100 children with mobility difficulties and disabilities in Gyumri.
The center has three physiotherapists and one occupational therapist. If we hit our goal of $5000, we will cover the full annual salary of the part-time physiotherapist working with 20 kids, many of whom have cerebral palsy.
By the way, free therapy is a game-changer for families in Gyumri. Per month, it can cost up to $200. Many families don't make more than $500 per month.
