Welcome to our page! In February, I will be running a 10K at the Disney Princess event on behalf of our daughter Juliana! If you know me, you know I'm not much of a runner most days, well all days but that's not going to stop me! Juliana was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome in 2008, a debilitating neurological disorder that affects her ability to walk, talk, use her hands as well as causes seizures, digestive and sleep issues. Despite all of these challenges, she fights!

We are hopeful because Rett Syndrome is one of the few disorders that will likely be cured in the very near future. Research has reversed Rett Syndrome in the lab and a genetic therapy clinical trial on humans begins this year! You can imagine how excited we are but until then, we keep her ready; ready for a cure someday by helping her be the 12 year old she loves to be!

One look into her eyes, her tenacity and determination comes through and she has taught many around her so much. Along this journey, she's taught us humility, unconditional love, compassion, determination, patience and understanding. Her drive and will is incredible and I run so that one day she can too!
