Hey y'all!  Welcome to my fundraising page!  

Not too long ago, some friends suggested that we make a commitment to run during Disney Princess Weekend.  'It looks like fun!' they said.  'Running isn't that hard' they said.  Well I was not completely sold.  I'm not exactly the kind of person that comes to mind when thinking about runners who complete a distance of any length so it definitely took some extra motivation to get me to sign up.  My fiance Rob encouraged me to see if I could run for a cause to help find that extra oomph I needed.  When perusing the list of charitable organizations who could benefit from these races, GP2C jumped out at me and gave me exactly the motivation I needed!  You see, I have a friend named Lily who has been diagnosed with Rett and her mom, Christine, does the MOST amazing job supporting, caring, cherishing, and challenging her that I have ever witnessed.  Lily struggles sometimes with her get up and go but if she has the courage to face the day and the challenges it brings, who I am to not take a page from her book and challenge myself to get up and go!  I have seen what a diagnosis of this caliber can mean to a young girl and her family and I want to do anything I can to support the search for a cure.  Please consider a donation of any amount...for me, for Lily, for all the girls who will face life's challenges.
