Connections Draw the Line on Drowning — May: National Water Safety Month

This May, in honor of National Water Safety Month, Connections Education Center of the Palm Beaches invites you to join our Draw the Line on Drowning campaign — a schoolwide effort to raise awareness and funds for adaptive swim safety lessons for individuals with autism.

Drowning remains the leading cause of accidental death for children with autism. Many are drawn to water, yet few have access to the specialized instruction needed to stay safe. Our goal is to fund swim lessons and water safety programs that make a life-changing difference for our students and their families.

Here’s where you come in!

Create your own peer-to-peer fundraising page, personalize it with photos, messages, and stories, and share it with your friends and family. Every page helps spread awareness — and every dollar raised directly supports swim safety education at Connections.

This month, we’re adding a fun twist — a classroom challenge!
The classroom that raises the most funds will earn special recognition and a celebration for their incredible impact in helping us protect lives through swim safety.

Let’s come together as a community to raise awareness, teach safety, and draw the line on drowning once and for all.
