WELCOME TO DREAM STREETS!

The Dream Factory realizes the dreams of Manitoban kids battling life-threatening illnesses. We’d like to invite you to join us in a fundraising initiative to capture the hearts and imaginations of Manitobans and bring those dreams to life.

In the month of September, beginning on September 8th during Manyfest, we will unveil a number of installations inspired by the dreams of real Dream Factory kids. Each installation with have a corresponding Dream Team of volunteers who will be joining forces to raise funds for this incredible organization. Fundraising will take place straight until the end of September concluding on Nuit Blanche on September 29, 2018.

How it Works:

Dream Makers: Our corporate partners cover the cost of each installation.

Dream Designers: Local architects, engineers, and artists build 10 x 10 art installations, each a dream-come-true for the wishes of children participating in the Dream Factory.

Dream Teams: Volunteer teams raise donations for each dream, with 100% of the proceeds focused on helping the Manitoban children and families participating in The Dream Factory.

The Dream Street: a fantastic imaginative series of Volcanic Adventures, Lego Dreams, African Safaris, Adventures in Space, Winnipeg Jets Journeys, and more, will be unveiled on Broadway on September 7th in collaboration with Winnipeg’s annual street festival, Manyfest.

Thanks for participating!

Meet our Dream Kids:

Meet Tenley

Tenley is a 7-year old girl who has been  bravely battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Tenley's dream is a special one - to swim with the dolphins! She will be travelling with her family down to Florida to have an incredible experience swimming and playing with dolphins, and seeing all that Orlando has to offer!

This dream trip will give Tenley and her family a break from the many doctor's visits, treatments, and challenges associated with her illness and allow them to focus on what's really importing: being together as a family.

Meet Ryder

Ryder is a 5-year-old boy facing Infant Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, and has been battling this disease since he was 8 months old.

Last summer, Ryder’s dream Fire Hall was delivered and it was a day of pure celebration. As a wonderful surprise, The Dream Factory had our new friends from the Stonewall Fire Department join us. They brought Ryder his own turn out gear, fire truck, and (though Ryder was leery at first) a new friend in Sparky the Fire Dog.

Ryder now has somewhere to have adventures, play with his friends, and just be a kid, right in our own backyard. His favourite part of the fire house? The fire pole, of course!

Meet Maia

Last April, Maia's family had their world come crashing down when Maia was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at just 3 years old. Since then, Maia has undergone months of intensive weekly chemotherapy and has had to stay away from crowds and public areas.

When deciding what her dream would be, Disney World was the obvious choice! At Disney, Maia will go to a special boutique to become Princess Elsa for a day, go on a Safari to the Animal Kingdom and see a cheetah in “real life,” meet all her favourite princesses and characters, and go on the “Dinosaur” ride. Everything she loves in her little world will become real to her.

Maia's family cannot WAIT to watch their little girl bask in the joys of life.
