12-27-16 at 6:56. Little did We know at that time how passionate We would become about Down Syndrome awareness and acceptance. 2 days after Christmas our world changed in ways we don't even know yet, on December 27 2016 our family was blessed with twins, one girl one boy, little did we know our beautiful  little boy was blessed with Trisomy 21 also known as Down Syndrome. For us this walk  is not about finding a cure or trying to prevent this from happening to other families, but it is all about acceptance of people with Down syndrome. My little boy is one of the  sweetest, happiest, lovable little people. Not once have I wished or prayed that there were a cure All I have prayed is that as other people will see his adorable smile, love his sweet giggle, and  look past his differences and see the incredible person he will be. We are not asking for pity or for someone to feel sorry for us we are just asking for help in raising awareness and ACCEPTANCE!  The vision of the Down Syndrome Assocation of Wisconsin - Fox Cities (DSAW-FC) is that we all understand the value of those with Down syndrome in our lives and our communities.  We continually strive for full acceptance, full access, full life and full potential. So we ask you to help us celebrate the lives of people with Down syndrome in our community and raise funds for the Down Syndrome Association of WI - Fox Cities!
