DSAW-Fox Cities has been an integral part of our adoption journey since before Elijah even came home. We had only recently committed to adopting him when I attended my first "Mom's Night Out". I was warmly welcomed. :-)

Since then, DSAW-FC has been a tremendous help to us as we added four children with Down syndrome to our family through the blessing and privilege of adoption. We've attended many training seminars specific to the needs of children with Ds. Also, we received two VERY generous adoption grants for Grace and Noah's adoptions. (The grant program was not yet in place for Elijah and Jonathan's adoptions.) We have also received summer speech therapy grants to help the kids continue their progress to more effective communication over the summer. Futhermore, we have received family grants for the past several years to help us pay for such things as a fence for our backyard, larger 5 pt carseats, and shoe inserts that insurance no longer covers. This year, our family grant application will go towards items to keep Noah safe.
