Hello Family & Friends!!!
We can't tell you how much your support has meant to our family over the last 14 years of Julia's amazing life!

We feel we are the luckiest family in the world to have such wonderful people surrounding us. We have amazing people supporting us on so many different levels and in so many different ways. We are truly blessed!

It's hard to believe but Julia is 14 and heading to Appleton East High School this fall. As luck would have it, the Homecoming dance is the same night as the walk.  It will certainly be a busy day (and night) for the Marks girls! 

Our family has volunteered for this life changing event for the last 10 years and we wouldn't change a single minute. We believe so strongly in the mission of DSAW: To provide support to individuals and families of people with Down syndrome through education, information and the exchange of ideas and experiences. 

Our family, and especially Julia, has benefited from DSAW Fox Cities by connecting with some of the greatest people ever! Julia has made life long friends and has enjoyed both teen and family events at Wild Air, Extreme Air, YMCA, The Fire, Karate, Yoga, swimming just to name a few. We have support groups as parents. We have speakers/webinars for parents and educators. Speech/occupational therapy. Member grants, scholarships for Camp.  These are just a few of the events DSAW offers and we have more to come!!! 

One of the most personal missions we (the Marks family) are on is advocating for an inclusive environment for Julia to go to school in. Be with her typical peers. To have support. To get a great education like Helena.  DSAW has given us the connections with other parents and the tools to get the wheels moving on this.  We truly couldn't do all this without the Down syndrome community here in the Fox Valley.  It hasn't been easy and we have a ways to go, but Jim, Helena, Julia and I couldn't do it alone.

With this being our one and only fundraiser, your support, no matter how big or how small, is making a difference!!!  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!
