Welcome to Team Julia!!!
Hard to believe that Julia turned 10 years old in May!!! What a decade this has been.

I almost don't have the words to express how amazing our life has been since Julia Mae Marks made her debut on May 15, 2005.  She had a rocky first month of life in the NICU at St Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton.  Luckily we live 5 blocks away so visitation and late night snuggles were just a hop and a jump away.  Julia has had many doctors appointments and surgeries since then but none were as scary as her heart repair at 4 months of age, she was just shy of 10 pounds. Her heart they said, was the size of a walnut. Gulp.  She came through like a champ and hasn't stopped amazing us since.

Julia brings our family alive!  She loves to make us laugh and also puts us in our place just as quick. Her relationship with Helena is making me cry tears of joy as I write this. God knew what he was doing when he put these 2 together. Julia is an excellent student and an even greater friend (special shoutout to her bestie Kyra. Friends for over 5 years).  She is the adventerous one in the family-always ready to go, especially for ice cream! She likes rides at Bay Beach, likes to do things "myself" and loves-I mean LOVES to play games (board, card, wii-you name it).  Julia is an avid reader, she often awakens hours before everyone else to read quietly in her room and she does not like to travel without her trusty book bag. She sings and dances at home, often performing shows for anyone who is around.  She really is an amazing kid.  Can't wait to see what the next 10 years bring.

We hope you can join us for our 6th annual walk and help us celebrate 10 years of fabuolousness with Julia!  We have also placed a team goal of raising $1,500!!!
