Ron Daugherty is President and CEO of Daugherty Business Solutions, which he founded in 1985. Recently selected as the #1 Top Workplace and Largest IT Consulting firm in the St. Louis region, Daugherty Business Solutions is a leader in providing advisory services and technology consulting, helping corporations improve business results. Under Ron’s leadership, the Daugherty enterprise now employs over 1,500 IT and business consultants in offices and development centers in Atlanta, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York, and St. Louis.
Ron is deeply committed to the growth of the St. Louis community. In 2012, Ron was presented with the Alan A. and Edith L. Wolff Inspiration Award by the Gateway Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This award recognizes the most active and inspiring leaders making a significant difference in the local community. His efforts have positively impacted many organizations, including the Independence Center where he has danced and served as a judge at the annual Dancing with the St. Louis Stars Gala. This event has raised millions for those struggling with mental illness in our region. Additionally, Ron spent five years on the Board of United Way of Greater St. Louis, and is currently on the President's Council of The Magic House and the Board of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Gateway Chapter.
Ron’s most recent focus in the community is building a diverse technology workforce of the future. He has teamed with the St. Louis Economic Development Initiative from Greater St. Louis, Inc. to enable more women and people of color to pursue careers in technology.
A former Golden Gloves amateur boxing champion, Ron’s hobbies include blues harmonica, equestrian sports, and fencing. In 2017, Ron represented the United States in the Pan American Games hosted in St. Thomas Virgin Islands winning the Gold Medal in the Men’s Foil competition.
