If you know me, you probably know that performing a choreographed hip-hop routine in front of a crowd is not exactly where I naturally shine. But when I was invited to participate in CASA Kane County’s Dancing with the Local Stars, I knew it was an opportunity worth saying yes to.

CASA Kane County provides trained Court Appointed Special Advocates who stand beside children navigating the foster care and court systems, making sure their voices are heard and their best interests remain at the center of the process.

So for the next several weeks, I’ll be learning a routine, embracing my early-2000s hip-hop era, fundraising like crazy, and eventually getting on that stage, all for these kids!
