Sydney Smedley is the owner of Panache Dance Co.! She was born and raised in the Rogue Valley and enjoys all that it has to offer. Her love for dance began at age 5 and continued throughout her childhood as she studied mostly Jazz and Ballroom locally. She graduated from SMHS and went on to study dance at Brigham Young University – Idaho, where she studied every style of dance she could get her hands on. There she met her “smokin’ hott” husband Skyler who, after watching Sydney compete in DWTRVS for 6 years, is now taking on the dance floor as a ballroom partner. Break a leg Skyler! Sydney is wildly outnumbered at home with their four boys, Greyson, McKay, Beckham, and Nixon. They love to travel together and have awesome dance parties as often as possible. Sydney spends most of her extra time running Panache Dance Co. that is currently in its 11th year of business! She is very proud of the culture at Panache where dancers are encouraged to be the best versions of themselves both as dancers and people. After 6 years of competing as a Ballroom Pro, Sydney is excited to trade in her Latin heels for some hip hop sneakers! She is super excited to be a part of such a wonderful and impactful event for the community and looks forward to her sixth year being a part of DWTRVS!
