What is Sparrow Clubs?
About Me!
Brian was born and raised in Central Point and is a proud father of two sons, Nathan and Trey. He graduated from the University of Oregon before moving back to Central Point in 2008 with his wife, Danielle. He is now the Director of Disability at Idiart Law Group, where he works with individuals and families navigating the Social Security disability process. Brian has spent many years volunteering in his community, coaching and running youth sports leagues. He values the impact that sports and mentorship can have on young people. He also coaches at CrossFit Bluedog, where he enjoys helping others stay active and push themselves. Brian is participating in this competition because he has long respected the Sparrow Clubs organization and the support it provides to local families. He is proud to be involved and to help raise awareness and support for Sparrow Clubs.
About my Pro Partner!
Sophie Grow is grateful for the opportunity to help support Sparrow Clubs. Making a difference in her community while dancing is a dream come true. Sophie has been a dancer since she was 4 years old. She has been involved in many different styles of dance including ballet, acro, cheer, hip hop, and contemporary. She discovered her favorite style of dance–ballroom–8 years ago. Sophie is committed to sharing her love of dance and the health benefits that go along with it. She started her ballroom journey in Cori Grimm’s homeschool ballroom class, eventually moving into the advanced category. Sophie is a social dance regular and youth competitor in the Southern Oregon Youth Ballroom Competition (SOYBC). She teaches at the Evergreen Ballroom and is also a choreographer for the SOYBC. She is an actress studying communication, politics, and business who someday wants to be President of the United States. She’s an Honors Scholar sophomore at Southern Oregon University (SOU) studying a double major in communication and power & politics, with a minor in business administration and a certificate in conflict management. Last year, Sophie brought her love of dance to her university and taught a ballroom and line dance class for SOU students. This is Sophie’s second year as a Pro Partner for Dancing with the Rogue Valley Stars, and she cannot wait to bring her love of dance to the stage once again.
