GENERAL EVENT FAQ

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM THE EVENT?
In-person guests will enjoy a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres from Fig&Blu, followed by a live concert by CIM's fabulous instructors and students. Both in-person and virtual guests will have access to the silent auction starting February 17th. Virtual guests will enjoy a professionally-produced live stream of the Éigse CIM concert.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO VIEW THE STREAMING PROGRAM?
The program will stream from the Éigse CIM website (www.centerforirishmusic.org/gaela). For a seamless experience, we recommend watching the streaming program on a computer or TV, and using your mobile device for donations and silent auction bidding.

HOW CAN I MAKE A DONATION TO THE CENTER FOR IRISH MUSIC?
To make a donation online, click "Support CIM" in the main menu on this site. To donate over the phone prior to the event, call us at 651-815-0083. You can also mail a check to the Center for Irish Music at 836 Prior Avenue North, Suite 400, St. Paul, MN 55104. If you have questions, just send a message to admin@centerforirishmusic.org!

SILENT AUCTION FAQ

HOW LONG IS THE SILENT AUCTION OPEN?
The silent auction will close when the second half of the Éigse CIM concert begins (approximately 8:30pm on February 24th).

HOW DO I VIEW ITEMS?
You can view items using the Givi app, or by visiting www.centerforirishmusic.org/gaela and selecting "View Items" from the main menu. A select number of items will be on display in person at Éigse CIM, a Gaela Event.

HOW DOES BIDDING WORK?
Anyone can view our silent auction items, but you must be registered for Éigse CIM, a Gaela Event and have a credit card on file to place a bid. Click on an item to view more details, and you will have the option to place a bid, "Buy it Now", or watch the item. When you place a bid, you may set a maximum bid. If you do, each time you are outbid, the system will increase your bid until your maximum is reached.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF I'VE BEEN OUTBID?
Depending on your notification settings, you will receive notifications via text, email, or the Givi app when you have been outbid. You can also check your item status by clicking on "Activity" in the Givi app.

HOW WILL I COLLECT THE AUCTION ITEMS I WIN?
In-person guests can collect their items at the end of the Éigse CIM concert. For online guests, all auction items, with the exception of gift certificates and event tickets, must be picked up in person in the week following Éigse CIM, a Gaela Event. If you are an online guest and win an item, we will contact you with pickup instructions following the event.
