Social Media Toolkit

The FriendshipWorks community encourages you to use social media to spread the word about your participation in Elderbration & Walk To End Elder Isolation. Invite people to join your team or donate to the cause. Keep your friends, family, and everyone in your network updated about your fundraising by posting and sharing information.

Ask your loved ones if they would be willing to donate to your fundraising efforts. Explain how the money that you raise will make a difference by supporting FriendshipWorks, a nonprofit organization that offers a variety of programs through volunteer efforts which focus on reducing social isolation for older adults. And above all, share why this is important to YOU!

Below and to the right are suggested images and posts that you can use for social media.

  • To save an image, right click with either one or two fingers on your mouse pad and select “Save As…” (or "control" click on Mac)

  • On mobile devices, hold down on the photo until you see “Save to Photos”, or “Share”. You can then select how you would like to share it (post on social media, send directly to a friend via your messaging app or email, etc.) by browsing the options that are displayed on your screen.
