Many of our students, despite excelling in academics, are faced with roadblocks that prevent them from pursuing their dreams of going to college. Elevation Scholars is the only organization in Central Florida that assists high-achieving students from high-need families gain access to and graduate from the nation’s most competitive colleges and universities— with little to no debt.
Our goal is to address undermatching—a phenomenon in which students who live below the poverty line attend less demanding colleges or don’t have access to college at all. We work to increase college exposure and aid in the completion of a post-secondary degree through two core services: High School Programming and our Scholar Award.
The result? A proven path to gain college admission and secure generous financial assistance from the college of their choosing. Since our inception in 2013, 100% of Elevation Scholars have graduated from the Top 100 colleges. All our students are on track to graduate with less than $10,000 in debt. As first-generation graduates, our scholars’ success has a ripple effect that positively impacts not just the students but their families and communities alike.
