Finn

Meet Finn

Hey, friends! My name is Finn, aka "Mr. Finntastic". Before I found my forever home, I was a shelter pup with the name "Dancing Queen." I no longer go by that name, but I still have the moves; my tail wags so hard that my whole body shakes as if I'm dancing.

While I wasn't adopted from SAHS, I am a proud shelter pup. I know what it means to wait for a family to believe in you. That’s why I was inspired to run for El Rey Fido by my dear friend Jazz, the current Duchess of the Fire Hydrant. Watching Jazz wear her crown with pride showed me that a shelter pup like me can make a difference, too.

Biscuit, a handsome 1-year-old Retriever Mix, was brought to us as a stray at the beginning of March. Upon his arrival, our Medical Team examined his health and discovered that he was suffering from Elbow Incongruency, a condition where the bones of the elbow joint don’t align properly. This condition can cause severe pain, affecting their ability to walk and stand properly.

Thanks to the incredible team at our Leeu Naylor Medical Building, Biscuit was able to undergo surgery to correct the issue and begin a carefully managed recovery plan. During his two-month medical stay, he made remarkable progress! Now, his loving forever family is giving him the extra-special care he needs to finish healing—so before long, he’ll be back to running, jumping, and playing like himself again.

Meet the adorable and tenacious Bungee! Bungee, a 5-month-old Terrier mix, was found as a stray and brought in by a kind member of the community. Upon intake, our medical team noticed that both of his front legs were badly injured. This prompted an X-ray, which revealed they were both broken, meaning a long road to recovery for little Bungee.

Bungee underwent surgery at our Leeu Naylor Medical Building, where he received plates and pins in both front limbs to ensure he could have a full range of mobility once healed. Bungee was such a resilient pup throughout his strict recovery, where he had to spend lots of time resting in his kennel with splints and bandages on his legs.

Even throughout his recovery, Bungee’s bright personality never faded. True to his name, this energetic pup loves to bounce around and spread joy wherever he goes. Now healed and thriving, he’s putting his strong legs to good use—filling his new forever home with endless fun and playfulness.
