My personal journey with Girl Scouts began when I was a Brownie in Florida in the 1970s. I learned so much through my experiences and have been honored to be a board member for the Girl Scouts of Alaska since 2017. Our Girl Scouts council is an outstanding place for Alaska girls to learn about, explore, and develop skills in STEM, leadership, entrepreneurship, outdoor activity, and much more. And GSAK's programs are available to girls in both urban and rural Alaska, regardless of financial or housing situation. I know that GSAK works hard to ensure inclusivitiy and access and I am so proud of the staff, volunteers, and GIRLS who make GSAK such a great organization.
